Dear Friends,
1. Are you aware that our beloved school, Methodist School Nibong Tebal has been in existence since 1898? First it was known as the Anglo-Tamil School. Later in 1903, Mr Gnasagamani changed the name to the Anglo-Chinese School. Thereafter, in mid 1950s it was named Methodist School to accommodate the local students from Standard 5 to Form 3. Then Form 4 and 5 classes were conducted in the 60’s.
2. Over the 112 years, the School had churned out exceptional citizens, BUT the structures / buildings of Methodist School Nibong Tebal have deteriorated badly. Furthermore the tables and chairs are in a deplorable state. The school buildings, furniture and surrounding areas are in a pathetic state too. This is made worse because the School is not a fully-aided school which meant that the government is not responsible for the structures and maintenance as it belongs to the Church.
3. The Methodist School Nibong Tebal Alumni (MSNTA) has decided to assist the school to uplift the state of the current buildings and furniture of 50 classrooms to a reasonable standard as we used to have then. The Alumni has decided to assist the school by:
a. Establishing a Classroom Adoption Committee to plan, organise, manage, monitor and implement the project.
b. Appealing to all ex-students of this noble institution to adopt a classroom, by donating RM1,500.00 per annum. Donors are requested to make payment, by crossed cheque addressed to: MSNTA (HLBB A/C No: 19400050888). The closing date to donate /pay shall be 31st January 2011. Cheques and / bank-in slips are to be sent to:

c. Installing a plaque in each classroom to list the donor, starting 2011.
d. Prioritising the needs of each classroom particularly, tables & chairs and essential renovation works.
e. Selecting / awarding the project to qualified local professionals / entrepreneurs (members of MSNTA) on progress payment basis.
Generous members of MSNTA / ex-students are cordially invited to participate and adopt any number of classrooms; as a sincere recognition of the basic academic foundation as well as the special “esprit-de-corps” that the Methodist School Nibong Tebal had provided to its student since 1898.
